HOW TO: Rock red lips for fall!
As everyone knows, fall is coming very quickly. Yay! Fall is my favorite time of the year because it consists of pumpkin spice lattes from starbucks and bath and body work candles! I also absolutely love the fall trends as well, especially the dark lipstick that everyone seems to be loving, but not everyone(including me) feel they can pull off. Since everyone has a different skin tone, hair color, etc., these colors won't always look the same on you as they would on someone else. That being said, I decided to show you how you can rock your own red lip as well as complementing your hair color and skin tone ! :)

A bold red lip can basically do all the work when it comes to wearing makeup. If you're trying to show off your beautiful red lips, try wearing minimal makeup so it doesn't take away from the part you want to show off. A good way is to wear a neutral smokey eye or black winged out eyeliner.

  •  1) If you have dark features such as dark hair, lashes, eyebrows and eyes a beautiful bright red lipstick is perfect especially if you want your lips to pop. The brighter your lipstick is, the more it'll pop out. Your skin tone also plays a huge factor in wearing lipstick. If you have a very light skin tone, avoid the orange toned lipsticks as they can wash you out. Orangey-red lipsticks look great on darker skin as they pop more and compliment the warmer skin tones.

I love these looks, they make wearing red lipstick look so easy. See how there is very minimal eye makeup needed, but can still look as polished and chic?

Just because you have dark hair does not mean you can't wear a dark lip! Dark lips and dark hair is a great combination because it can make you feel... warm and dark. Plum, burgundy or dark red are great options! Dark lips look great on lighter skin tones.

  •   2)  If you have lighter features such as light hair, eyebrows and eyes, burgundy and deep reds look GREAT. Gwen Stefani loves her deep red lips and with her blonde hair it makes the color pop! Pink toned reds look great with blonde hair also. With lighter features, you need to make sure you're not wearing a lipstick that will wash you out. A bright red might pop but it may also take away from the color you may have on your cheeks and eyes and that can make you look paler then you are.

Quick tip! if you are planning on wearing a beautiful red lip make sure you prep your lips by exfoliating and moisturizing :)

Of course, this is just what I read and learned about. Wear whatever lipstick shade makes you feel the most comfortable and beautiful in! Everyone has their own taste and well... its just makeup!
Hope this helped!

Have a great day :)
